Back-to-back MLK this week — and for good reason. Martin Luther King Jr. was a courageous civil-rights leader who used faith, eloquence, and nonviolent protest to advance racial equality and justice in America. This quote is a powerful reminder that regardless of our origins, our histories, or the ships that carried us here, we share one country and one future. Unity isn't sameness — it's the recognition that our fates are bound together.

We are up to #7, the formidable President on the $20 Bill, Andrew Jackson, on the value of Action! Andrew Jackson remains one of America's most complex and controversial presidents. His decisiveness, resilience, and willingness to act offer valuable leadership lessons, while his role in Native American removal and his ownership of enslaved people are sobering parts of his legacy that should not be overlooked. History rarely gives us uncomplicated leaders, but it can still challenge us to reflect, learn, and lead better. Fun personal note: I've visited Jackson's home, the Hermitage, in Nashville!

As we grind through Q3 and overcoming the challenges to win net new clients, going with our 6th President — being from Massachusetts, I knew this one — John Quincy Adams on Courage and Perseverance. Our 6th President is an amazing person: Born July 11, 1767, in Braintree, Massachusetts, he lived to age 80. Son of John Adams, the 2nd President of the United States. He served as Secretary of State from 1817 to 1825, U.S. Senator from Massachusetts, and U.S. Representative from Massachusetts for 22 years — becoming the first former U.S. president to serve in the House of Representatives. He is known for opposing slavery and defending the right to petition Congress.

Married 65 years to my Nana, Cecilia. Father of seven. Grandfather of fifteen. 14 great-grandchildren. A US Postman. And a Veteran of both the Army and Navy.
